May 25, 2018

What it means to be a successful scholar-athlete is when an individual somehow manages to balance academic, athletic, community service, work, and social responsibilities, and in doing so becomes a leader by example and a model of the expectations of her school and sport program. In lesser words: Samantha Naake.

Samie is committed to academic excellence. Not only is she bright, she is also hard-working and passionate about the subject-matter; a combination that will surely result in continued success when she joins the workforce in her field of study. Samie developed her craft and earned her position on the court, yes, but more importantly, she volunteered her time with other athletic teams, coached the next generation of volleyball players at camps, and become a respected member of her team and the ARC athletic community.

Now, Samie is on to her journey at Friends University to play volleyball and continue her academics.
