Cassandra Figueroa, freshman goalkeeper from Pioneer High School, was voted the Big 8 defensive player of the week for her efforts the week of September 18th ? 22nd. In the team?s two wins against Sierra College (2-1) and Diablo Valley College (3-2), Figueroa conceded 3 goals but made over 30 saves, with a few being of the highlight variety.
