Women’s self-defense workshop offered by the Counseling and Kinesiology departments
April 13-14
All Women and Girls age 14 and older: Administrators, Certificated Employees, Classified Staff, Students, Family, Friends, Community Members can all be empowered by this workshop.
The R.A.D System is a program of realistic self-defense tactics and techniques for women. The comprehensive course begins with awareness, prevention, risk reduction and risk avoidance, while progressing on to the basics of hands-on defense training.
This class is $20 for registered Los Rios students, faculty, and staff; $25 for outside community members. Included in the cost of the class is a "R.A.D Student Manual" For Registration Information: Contact ARC Business Services at (916) 484-8481.
