The Falcons hosted American River on Friday afternoon for a makeup game from last Tuesday's rainstorm, but fell to the Beavers 10-4. The two teams were fairly even in hits (11-9), but five of the Beavers' hits were for extra bases, including two doubles and a home run by Isabel Hernandez. Of the Falcons' nine hits, eight were singles. But even more damaging was the Falcon defense, which recorded a season-high 10 errors that contributed to the Beavers' seven unearned runs. Jessi Lawhorn, Hannah Harvey, and Katie Thompson all had two hits for the Falcons in the loss.
Saturday's doubleheader at Cosumnes River was washed away by the rain, with a tentative makeup date set for this Friday (March 8).
