Sacramento, Calif. - Freshman Morgan Trigueiro dropped 27 points to lead the No. 2 Butte women's basketball team to a 92-44 rout of American River on Tuesday evening.

Trigueiro went 10-of-12 from the field, 7-of-9 from beyond the arc, adding three boards, four assists, and a pair of steals. Sophomore Madalynn Bassett added 13 points on 62.5 percent shooting with fiver rebounds.

The Roadrunners outscored the Beavers 50-15 in the first half, doubling American River's score in each of the first three quarters. Butte shot 50 percent from the field, pulling down 16 offensive rebounds to American River's four.

Butte (5-1) returns home to host No. 10 Folsom Lake next on Friday, Nov. 17 at 6 p.m.
