Top ranked Delta College showed why they are 19-0 on the season as they downed American River College 10-1 in Stockton on Thursday.  Beavers starter Kirby Broadbent (Oakmont) was roughed up for 8 hits in 2+ innings, as Delta jumped out to an 8-0 lead after 3 innings.  After Broadbent got through a clean first inning, the Mustangs first 5 hitters in the second inning all recorded base hits.  Delta ended up with 7 hits in the inning.  They added 3 more hits and a pair of runs in the 3rd inning.  The Beavers were finally able to get on the board in the 6th inning after C Bryan Babcock (Antelope) singled off the Delta starter Dean Kremer's foot, then reached second when Kremer picked up the ball and threw errantly into the dugout.  After CF Brandon Raposa (Woodcreek) was hit by a pitch, SS Cameron Bennett (Rio Linda) flew out to right to advance the runners, then 2B Steve Mercado (Antelope) hit a sac fly to right which barely scored Babcock on a close play at the plate.  The two teams finish their series at Beaver Field on Saturday at 1:00 p.m.
