American River College sophomore 1B/OF James Boitano (Argonaut) accepted a scholarship to attend school and play baseball at Providence Christian College in Pasadena, CA it was announced on Monday.  Providence is led by head coach Mike Scolinos, who has been a successful head coach for many years and is the son of legendary NCAA Hall of Fame baseball coach John Scolinos from Cal Poly Pomona.  Coach Scolinos has coached at the JC level, Division 1 and 2, and the NAIA level as well. 

"I am very happy for James", said Beavers head coach Doug Jumelet.  "He has put in a lot of hard work on the field, in the weight room and most importantly, in the classroom.  His hard work and great team attitude has enabled him to earn that scholarship and the ability to play at the next level.  I think that it is a great fit for him to go to Providence and have a successful career there."
