American River College swept the two-game season series with Shasta College, winning 9-3 in Redding on Saturday.  This was on the heels of a marathon 7-6 loss at home on Friday in 13 innings against #5 ranked Feather River College.  The Beavers had several chances to win that game, including a runners on 2nd & 3rd with no outs situation in the bottom of the 10th inning, but couldn't quite get the job done.  After Feather River scored three times in the top of the 13th, the Beavers scored twice with two outs and had runners at 2nd and 3rd but DH Tyler Swank (Del Campo) lined out to right to end the game. 

In Redding on Saturday the Beavers got a quality seven inning start from freshman LHP Andrew Wiesenfarth (Rio Americano) who allowed three runs, two earned through 7 innings.  The Beavers offense was led by SS Jared Biggs (Del Campo) who doubled twice, Robert Contreras (Antelope) who was 2x3 with a pair of RBI and Tyler Swank, who added a two run double in the 6th inning.  Leadoff hitter Cade Parker (Yreka) was 2x4 with 2 stolen bases to give him a team leading 5 on the season.  Freshman C Joaquin Sequeira (Antelope) got his first two career collegiate hits, the first being an RBI single to get the beavers on the board in the 2nd inning.

A.R.C. will play host to the Solano College Screamin' Falcons at 2:00 on Tuesday at Beaver Field.
