For the 3rd consecutive year, the cut line for the playoffs fell just above American River College.  Last year three teams from the BIG 8 Conference made the playoffs, with the Beavers finishing 4th and being left out.  This year, A.R.C. finished 5th and 4 teams from the BIG 8 got in, including the top three seeds in the North, Santa Rosa, Cosumnes River, and Sac City.  Delta College was 4th in the RPI but is seeded 9th, because the other 5 league champions are mandated to be in the top 8 so that they can host.
