American River College sophomore pitcher Kyle Beardsley (Franklin) has signed a National Letter of Intent (NLI) with Northern State University, a Division 2 program in South Dakota.  Kyle pitched in relief for the Beavers in both of his seasons on the team.  "Kyle did a really good job for us and is a quality person", says Coach Jumelet.  "He knew what his role would be even in high school and he thrived coming out of the bullpen.  We have had some former players go to Northern State and they really liked it in and I think Kyle will be happy there.  I think that they will be happy with him as a player and as a person, as well."
