Matt Gunter, who pitched for American River College in 2014 &15 was drafted by the Toronto Blue Jays in the 33rd round of the Major League Baseball first year player draft.
Half of the 2017 Beavers Baseball team posts 3.0 GPA

Former American River College baseball player Matt Gunter (15) was recently named the Division 2, Pac-West Conference Pitcher of the Year. Gunter came to the Beavers from Bella Vista High School and was a two-time 2ndteam BIG 8 Conference pitcher.
Micah Gunter commits to Simpson University

Sophomore RHP Micah Gunter announced that he will continue his education and baseball career at Simpson University in Redding, CA next fall. Gunter came to A.R.C. after having a stellar career at Valley Christian Academy in Roseville where he was named a small-school All-State player as a shortstop after his senior year in 2015.

As the 2017 American River College Beavers say goodbye to the outgoing sophomores, the season ended in opposite fashion to how it began. The season started with a 9 game winning streak, and with the loss on Friday, it ended with a 6 game losing streak.

The American River College baseball team could not take advantage of several early miscues by the Hawks, and the Beavers fell 8-3 in the series opener. The Beavers also made several defensive miscues, committing four errors leading to four unearned runs.
