The annual end of fall Beaver World Series was completed on Tuesday with the Red Team, led by head coach Cade Parker (Yreka) and pitching coach Tyler McCombs (Antelope) defeat the Blue Team three games to one.  The Red Team won games 1 & 2 on Monday and Wednesday last week, with the Blue Team taking game 3 to extend the series last Friday.  Rain forced game 4 to be moved to Tuesday where LHP Kurt Johnson (Royal) was dominant, throwing 5 2/3 innings, allowing just one run in his teams 6-1 victory.  DH Alex Dodd (River City) led the way with three RBI in game 4.  2B Matt Clarke (Bella Vista) added a double and a single while scoring a pair of runs.  LHP Kyle Grant (Burbank) closed out the win with a scoreless 7th inning to secure the victory.  The Blue Team was led by head coach Andrew Fuentes (Pioneer) and pitching coach Ian Codina (Oakmont).

The Beavers will begin the 2017 season on Friday, January 27th against West Valley College at Beaver Field at 2:00 p.m.
