The American River College baseball team is finally starting to get healthy, as Tuesday saw the return of closer Ian Codina (Oakmont) but it was not enough as Santa Rosa jumped on A.R.C. starter Andrew Wiesenfarth (Rio Americano) for five runs in the bottom of the first inning.  The Beavers responded by getting a run back in the top of the 2^nd on an Andrew Fuentes (Pioneer) groundout, but the #1 ranked Bear Cubs knocked Wiesenfarth out of the game with three more runs in the 4^th inning.  The Beavers got several more runners on but never seriously threatened to get back in the game.  Freshman LHP Chris Martin (Elk Grove) threw two scoreless innings, facing just 6 batters.  Ian Codina threw a scoreless 8^th inning, his first appearance since Feb. 21 at Laney College.  The two teams meet again at Beaver Field on Thursday at 2:30 p.m.
