Despite getting out-hit for the second time in the three game series, American River College won game three 7-5 to sweep the season series from the Pirates for the second straight year.  Starter Micah Gunter (Valley Christian) was effective early as the offense staked him to a 7-0 lead, but he struggled to get out of the 5^th inning, allowing 4 runs on 6 hits.  Reliever Chris Martin (Elk Grove) came on in relief to throw three innings allowing just a pair of hits and one run.  Sophomore RHP Ian Codina (Oakmont) came on in the 9^th to close the door and earn his 6^th save of the season. 

The Beavers did most of their damage in the 3^rd inning, scoring 6 of their 7 runs.  The big blow was a bases loaded, three run double by DH Andrew Fuentes (Pioneer).  Fuentes drove in a run in the 5^th inning as well to end with a pair of hits and four runs on the day.  Freshman S Will Floyd (Rocklin) added a pair of doubles on the day.  C Joaquin Sequeira (Antelope) also had an RBI double in the 3^rd inning. 

American River College plays Sierra College next week, with Tuesday's and Saturday's games being at home.
