Former American River College baseball player Matt Gunter (15) was recently named the Division 2, Pac-West Conference Pitcher of the Year.  Gunter came to the Beavers from Bella Vista High School and was a two-time 2^ndteam BIG 8 Conference pitcher.  He finished the 2015 season with a record of 7-4 for A.R.C.  He was 6-4 for with a 2.09 ERA for Hawaii Pacific University this season.  He finished the year with a school record 102 strikeouts, which was 13^th best in the NCAA Division II. 

"We knew it would click for Matt, it was just a matter of time before he put it all together and this was the year.  We are very happy for him with the success he has had on the field and he is on pace to graduate", said A.R.C. Head Coach Doug Jumelet.
