Former American River College Baseball players Austin Call (15) and Matt Gunter (15) were recently announced as Rawlings/NCAA Division 2 All-region players, it was announced on Tuesday.  Call, from Oakmont High School was named 2^nd team All-South Central Region as a senior 3B at Tarleton State University in Texas.  Gunter, a senior left-handed pitcher who came to the Beavers from Bella Vista High School was named a 1^st team All-West Region pitcher from Hawaii Pacific University. Gunter was also named the Pac-West Pitcher of the Year at HPU.

"Our whole staff is very proud of these guys", said A.R.C. Head Coach Doug Jumelet.  "They worked really hard on the field and in the classroom while they were here and these awards showed that their work ethic and dedication has paid off.  They are both just as good people as they are baseball players and I am happy that they were able to have success at the next level just as they did here."
