13 of the 26 members of the 2017 American River College baseball team posted a GPA of 3.0 or better in the Spring semester, according to Head Coach Doug Jumelet.  The team GPA was 2.74 for the Spring semester.  "I am very proud of the guys who got 3.0's and better.  We always want the academics to be a focus and having half of the team do so well shows that.  We were shooting for a Team 3.0 GPA and we came up a little short, so we know that we have to work harder next year.  Last year we had a 2.96 and were so close, and that 3.0 will be our goal next year",  said Jumelet.  Three players had over a 3.5 GPA and four more had a 3.4.  Two players had a 2.9 GPA and one more had a 2.8.
