Former American River College baseball player and longtime friend of the program Matt Potulny passed away unexpectedly on July 2^nd, according to a report in the Sacramento Bee. Matt played for longtime A.R.C. coach Fred Besana, then transferred to Sacramento State where he played for the Hornets.  Matt loved baseball and could often be found watching Jesuit High School where his brother Joe is the head coach.  His father Richard "Skeeter" Potulny was also a longtime friend of the program and former head coach Kevin Higgins.  Matt was 57 years old.
