Christian Savage, who played baseball at American River College in 2015 tragically passed away in a car accident in Dixon, CA on Wednesday August 2^nd.  Savage was a pitcher and an infielder for the Beavers and helped lead the team to a 4^th place BIG 8 Conference finish, the team's highest in several years.  Christian's brother Anthony also played for the Beavers in 2006 and 07.

"I was floored when Anthony called me with the news.  Christian was a good player but an even better teammate and person.  He was so full of life and energy and just a really fun person to be around.  Our hearts and prayers go out to the savage family, Guy and Regina, Anthony and Johnny.  We all lost a part of the family today", said head coach Doug Jumelet.
