American River College came back from down 3-1 with two runs in the top of the 9^th inning to send the game into extra innings but lost when LF Blake Spencer (Rio Americano) couldn't come up with the catch on a two out fly ball to left which allowed the winning run to score from 2^nd at Santa Rosa on Thursday.  Freshman Lane Field (Whitney) had two hits and drove in a pair of runs to go along with three walks on the day.  He drove in the first run of the game, a two out double to right center in the 3^rd inning to score C Nick Huddlestun (Rocklin).  Then, with the Beavers trailing 3-1 in the 9^th RF Justin Bejarano (Elk Grove) singled home CF Logan Hall (Oakdale) with two outs, who had walked to lead off the inning.  2B Christian Murua (Grant) followed with a single to right to send Bejarano to 3^rd, then Field came up with the clutch single to right on a 2-1 pitch for his 2^nd RBi of the game.  Freshman Collin Carriger (Bella Vista) started on the mound for the Beavers and went 5 2/3 innings allowing just 2 runs.  Freshman RHP Austin Jacobs (River City) finished up the 6^th inning and pitched the 7^th and 8^th, allowing an unearned run in the 8^th.  Sophomore Freddy May (Folsom) was the hard luck loser of the game as he should have gotten out of the 10^th but with two outs and runners at 1^st and 2^nd Spencer couldn't make the catch in left and the winning run scored unearned. 

The two teams will finish their series on Friday at A.R.C. at 2:30.  The game was originally scheduled to be on Saturday but is getting moved up to Friday to beat the incoming rain this weekend.
