FORMER BEAVER CATCHER SIGNS PRO CONTRACT  

Former American River College baseball player Paul Von Zboray (Ponderosa HS) has signed a professional contract with the Joliet Slammers of the Frontier League.  Paul played for the Beavers in 2020 and 21 before going to Clarke College in Iowa.  He was a two-time Academic All-Conference player for Clarke.  Von Zboray was a mainly a catcher for the Beavers and will be for Joliet but he also played some 1B at ARC.  "I am really happy for Paul and proud that he is getting a chance to play professional baseball," says ARC Head Coach Doug Jumelet.  "Paul always had a great work ethic and a drive to continue playing at a high level and we all really hope that he can do it for a long time.  He deserves it and I know he will work his tail off at it."
