Bio

Mike is back at A.R.C. this year for his second season with the team after having started up the baseball program at William Jessup.  In 2017 the Warriors finally got to play in their own stadium, McBean Park in Lincoln and Hankins led the team to a school record in victories.  He laid the foundation for the 2018 William Jessup team that finished 2018 ranked 12th in the national rankings. He works with the hitters and infielders and will aid in recruiting as well.  Mike was a standout player at Simi Valley High School in Southern California which led to him earning a scholarship to play at U.C.L.A.  After starting at shortstop for the Bruins he was drafted by the New York Yankees, playing five years in the organization, reaching as high as AAA.  He was a two-time all-star in the minors.  When his playing days ended, he moved to Northern California and began teaching in Lincoln and for 5 years led the Lincoln High School varsity program.  He then got a chance to start up the William Jessup program, leading the Warriors for three years before coming on board with A.R.C. this fall.  Mike is a certified specialist in: Fitness, Speed and Agility, High School Strength and Conditioning, and Nutrition.  He and his wife Debbie live in Roseville and have three children, Mikayla, Jared, and Ariana.
