Bio

Samuel Keil is entering his first season as the Kickers/Punters coach at American River College.

Keil was late to the game of football, having been a four-year starter and club soccer player in high school. He earned multiple All-League selections as well as MVP of the league in his senior year at San Juan, the year he also began football. Keil was in line for a soccer scholarship before injury led him to begin his full time football career.

Keil played for American River on the championship 2014 season and also in 2015, then transferring on scholarship to Fairmont State University in West Virginia. He played the 2016 and 2017 seasons for the Falcons and earned a Bachelors degree in Political Science with a minor in National Security before returning home to Sacramento.

Keil shares an ARC record for most field goals in a game at 4. He also holds several records at Fairmont State including most PATs in a season, most field goals in a season as well as a school and NCAA record 6 field goals in a game.

Coach Keil was named NCAA D2 player of the week for his record setting performance.
