Bio

Val Laolagi enters his second season as Defensive Line coach for the Beavers. Prior to his arrival at ARC, Laolagi spent two seasons (2014, 2015) at Folsom High School as the DC and Strength & Conditioning Coach. In his two seasons as DC, the team finished both seasons with a total record of 30-1, winning two section championships, two regional championships and a state title.

Laolagi has over 15 years of coaching experience ranging from youth football to High School. He began coaching youth football in El Dorado Hills, continuing his coaching career at Folsom High School, and working as a Strength & Conditioning Trainer under the tutelage of the great Al Biancani.

Laolagi takes great pride in having played for American River College, and is very honored to be part of the All-Time Football Roster at Sacramento State.

Laolagi attended Sac State and continued his college education at Santa Clara University, graduating in 2000 with a degree in computer science. He lives in Folsom, CA with his wife Pam. He has two sons, Val Jr. (26), who has graduated from Laguna College of Art & Design and Bailey (22), who has graduated from UNLV, having played football for the Rebels. He and Pam have been married for 28 years.
