Bio

Coach Robert Mosher Rob will be working as an offensive assistant coach, mostly working with quarterbacks on their fundamentals and throwing mechanics. He joins us this year from high school football programs in the local area, most notably last year where he was the Director of Football Operations, passing coordinator and quarterbacks coach at Western Sierra Collegiate Academy. Rob assisted the head coach/offensive coordinator J.P. Dolliver in leading the Wolves to a 7-4 record, the school’s first winning season and playoff game tallying over 2900 yards passing and 30 touchdowns. He coached quarterbacks at Whitney High the two years prior working with Coach Paul Doherty as the team amassed over 7,000 passing and 2,800 yards rushing and 97 touch downs in those two seasons. Rob has spent the past four off seasons as an assistant coach in the Whitney Passing Academy from 2015-2017 and as an associate coach in training at the prestigious Nor Cal Passing Academy which has produced quarterbacks such as Jake Browning this past spring. Rob has coached at several other schools as well in California, Michigan and Indiana and has been an offensive coordinator, special teams coordinator and head coach in various places and levels of high schools and junior high schools.

Rob played varsity high school football in three states, Florida, Mississippi and California and was the only freshman player on Vernon High School’s 1984 County Championship team where he was a role player on defense and a standout on special teams and was a two- way starter at fullback and outside linebacker and was second in rushing yards and third in team tackles on the 1985 team in Florida. He played wideout and special teams for Copiah-Lincoln High School’s 1986 Conference Championship team in Mississippi where he caught 7 touchdowns. His senior season Rob played at Trona High School and for their legendary coach Paul Branham in Trona, CA where he started at outside linebacker and fullback, leading the team in solo tackles and interceptions while playing on the countries only dirt football field.

After high school Rob pursued a career in the Army and most notably served with distinction in the famed 1st Battalion 24th Infantry Regiment in Mosul, Iraq during the first Battle for Mosul as an infantry rifle squad leader in a Stryker Brigade.

Rob is the father of three adult children and proud grandfather of a future college quarterback, Cooper.
