Individual State Championships at Ojai

April 23, 2015

In the year-end state individual championships, the Beavers performed admirably. In the singles Seppi Capaul and Jimmy Giovannini each reached the 3rd round before falling to opponents from SoCal #2 team, College of the Desert. In the doubles all 3 ARC teams reached at least the 3rd round.

Northern California Team Payoff-Final

April 18, 2015

The Beavers traveled to Los Altos to play The Owls from Foothill College for the Northern California team championship and the right to play the Southern California winner for the state title.

Northern California Playoff-Semifinal

April 14, 2015

In the semifinals of the Norcal team playoff the Beavers hosted the Gladiators from Chabot. It was a rematch of a match a few weeks prior, when the Beavers won by a score of 8-1. This time ARC did not lose a match.

Northern California Playoff-Quarterfinal

April 07, 2015

In the first round of the team playoffs, the #2 seeded Beavers hosted the #7 seeded Pirates from Modesto. ARC jumped out to a 3-0 lead after the doubles, highlighted by 8-1 victories at #2 (Nic Atkinson/John Foote) and at #3 (Nick Cardoza/Dylan King).

Big 8 North Individual Conference Tournament

The 2015 Big 8 North Individual Conference Tournament was hosted by ARC. The tournament serves as the qualifier for the year ending Individual State Championships at Ojai. ARC was well represented in the tournament, holding 5 of the top 11 seeds in singles and 3 of the top 6 seeds in doubles.

Beavers earn 4th straight conference title

March 20, 2015

The Beavers were able to put all 12 players in the lineup in their final regular season conference match of the season. At #3 doubles AJ De Castro and Nick Shirk stepped in to the lineup and played solidly, winning their match 8-4.

Beavers defeat Gladiators

March 19, 2015

In their final non-conference match before playoffs, the Beavers defeated the Gladiators from Chabot College by a convincing 8-1 score. The Beavers swept the doubles, highlighted by an 8-2 win at #2 by TJ Aukland and John Foote.

Beavers vs Bear Cubs

March 17, 2015

The Beavers traveled to Santa Rosa and clinched the Big 8 North conference title with a strong performance against the Bear Cubs from Santa Rosa. The match began with all three doubles matches being closely contested.

Beavers vs Vikings

The Vikings from Diablo Valley College came to Sacramento looking for the upset, but the American River College Beavers held off the tough squad from Diablo Valley for a very competitive 6-3 victory.

Top two Nor Cal matchup

In a matchup of the top 2 teams in Northern California, the Beavers lost a hard fought battle to the Owls from Foothill College. The tone of the match was set early in the doubles, as each match was closely contested.

ARC made the long trip to Redding and earned their 2nd shutout in a row over the Knights from Shasta College.

Beavers vs Falcons

March 03, 2015

The Beavers swept the Falcons for their 8th straight victory on the season. Highlights included Ryan Wilson winning 6-0, 6-0 at #2 singles and TJ Aukland stepping in to the #1 spot for the 2nd time this season and earning a 6-2, 6-0 victory.

Beavers remain undefeated

The top two teams in the Big 8 North did battle on the courts at ARC, as the Bear Cubs from Santa Rosa Junior College visited the Beavers. It was a beautiful day on the courts and there was a palpable energy running through the players and fans. The doubles matches started off very competitive, close, and with both teams exuding great amounts of emotion.
