After two pre-conference rainouts against Cosumnes River and Modesto, the Beavers were finally able to play their first official dual-match of the season against the Reedley College Tigers. ARC performed well, highlighted by a sweep in doubles, in which the Beavers lost only a single game in the three matches, and strong singles performances turned in by Tam Duong (#1), Neville Cooper (#2), Mikey Vizcarra (#3), and Andy Vang (#4). Particularly impressive was Duong, who stepped in to the #1 position for the first time this season and won 6-1, 6-3 against the talented Reedley #1 player, Aaron Reimer. Mikey Vizcarra did not lose a game in route to his win at the #3 position. The Beavers next match will be their first conference competition of the season against Folsom Lake College on Tuesday, February 21.
