Overall: 8-0         Conference: 3-0

ARC men's tennis continued their unbeaten season against Southern California powerhouse Grossmont College and conference foe Diablo Valley College. The three teams faced off against each other on the courts at Diablo Valley College in Pleasant Hill. In their first match the Beavers played the Griffins from Grossmont. It was a battle from the beginning, as both #1 and #2 doubles were on serve late in to the pro-set. At #1 Sam Hall/Mikey Vizcarra were unable to break back after losing their serve late in the match. In the final game, as Grossmont attempted to serve the match out, the Beavers had three break points, but Grossmont #1 singles player, Lirone Abecassis, fought them off with some high quality serving. At #2 doubles the Beavers #2 tandem of Paul Bhatia/Pete Gibson broke at 5-5 and were able to serve out the match for an 8-6 victory. Other highlights from the match included Vizcarra absolutely dominating at #2 against Kaio Sato 6-0, 6-1 and the Beavers continuing their success at the bottom of the lineup, with Rob Kendall and Andrei Anderson losing a combined 3 games at #3 doubles and #5 and #6 singles respectively.

After their match versus Grossmont, the Beavers faced off against conference rival, the Diablo Valley Vikings. In the nine individual matches the Beavers dropped only 14 games, and did not lose more than 3 games in any single set. Highlights for the Beavers included Anderson/Kendall stepping in to the #1 doubles spot to defeat the DVC #1 team of Angelo Cardenas/Bryant Taylor 8-3 and Danny Garcia extending his undefeated streak in dual-team matches to nine with his victories in singles (#5) and doubles (#3).

The Beavers will next play Solano College as a makeup match on Monday, March 12 at ARC.
