ARC Men's Tennis Makes Another Deep Playoff Run

The Beavers earned their fifth consecutive NorCal championship match berth. ARC has won the NorCal championship the past two seasons and will look to earn their third straight state championship match opportunity against De Anza College on Saturday, April 21st at ARC. Highlights against the Foothill Owls in the team semifinals included #1 doubles duo of Sam Hall/Mikey Vizcarra playing one of their cleanest doubles matches of the season en route to an 8-1 victory over the quality team of Carl Goodfriend/Yu Tokuyama of Foothill. Andrei Anderson/Rob Kendall scored a shutout at #3 doubles, continuing their dominant performances on the season. In the singles Vizcarra earned the first victory at #2 against Kristian Calayag 6-1,6-1 and Sam Hall clinched the team win at #4 singles with his 6-2, 6-1 against Carl Goodfriend. The Beavers will have their hands full against the Dons of De Anza. but they look forward to the unique opportunity of reaching three straight state championship matches.
