In the 2nd match of their SoCal trip, the Beavers beat the Tigers from Riverside City College handily, 8-1. The tone was set early as the Beavers took a 3-0 lead after the doubles. The doubles was highlighted by the #1 tandem of Stephen Guenard/Sam Hall beating the RCC #1 team by the score of 8-2. Despite the lopsided overall team score, many of the singles matches were very competitive. At #1 singles Guenard outlasted Miles Clark, winning the deciding 3rd set by the score of 6-3. Other highlights included Micah Erwin beating the tough RCC #5 player, Ayrton Aviles, 6-2, 6-2, and #6 Archie Ghasemi grinding out a physical 3rd set victory at #6 singles, 6-4, 4-6, 11-9.

The Beavers will next face the Cerritos College Falcons. Cerritos is currently ranked #1 in SoCal and is the defending state champion, beating the Beavers in the final of the state championships in 2018.
