The Beavers made the trip south to compete against NCAA DII opponent, Fresno Pacific University and NorCal rival, Fresno City College. In their first match against FPU, ARC came out strong in the doubles. Enrique Silveira/Gavin Sonntag lost a tight 6-4 match at #1 and Tarang Sharma/Shane Timmons lost a hard-fought match at #3, 6-3. At #2 doubles, Spencer Hill/Arjun Sivakumar won in a tiebreaker 8-6, rallying off 7 straight points after being down 6-1. It was one of the most amazing comebacks of the season and it set the tone going into the singles. Gavin Sonntag was the lone Beaver victor at #2 singles, coming back from a set down to win 5-7, 7-6(5), 10-7. Other Beaver standouts included Tarang Sharma (#4) who competed well but fell 6-4, 7-5, and Shane Timmons (#6) who lost a close 7-5, 6-2 match.

The following day the Beavers dried the courts at Fresno City College after a night of rain, and played relentlessly physical tennis to shutout the highly improved Rams 9-0. Hill/Sivakumar played high percentage attacking tennis to win at #2 doubles 8-2, and singles highlights included Gavin Sonntag (#1) winning 6-0, 6-0, Enrique Silveira (#2) losing only a single game in a 6-1, 6-0 victory, and Shane Timmons (#5) winning without dropping a single game.

ARC will next host the Big 8 Individual Conference Championships from April 4th-April 6th, where they will try to advance as many players as possible to the Individual State Championships at Ojai in late April.
