Beavers Compete Against Four-Year Universities at Fresno Pacific Invitational 11/3-11/4
The Fresno Pacific Invitational features some of the top NCAA DII and NAIA programs in Northern California. For the second consecutive season, the Beavers were invited to compete against the four-year schools at the event. ARC was able to hold their own, and take their share of victories in both singles and doubles. Gavin Sonntag beat the Menlo College #1, Rusen Russworm, in a one-sided 6-0, 6-1 match. Other singles standouts included Shane Timmons, Spencer Hill, and Declan Moley, each earning a singles victories in the tournament. In the doubles, Ty Maimer/Sonntag defeated the Westmont #2 duo Owen Vander Ark/Preston Hastings by the score of 6-2, and Tarang Sharma/Arjun Sivakumar and Hill/Timmons both had victories against William Jessup opponents. The competition marked the last competitive play for the Beavers in the fall, and they will now look forward to training in preparation for the Spring season, which begins on January 26th at the West Valley College Doubles Invitational.
