ARC Beats DVC in First Home Game of the Season

On Wednesday, October 10th, Men's Water Polo faced Diablo Valley College (DVC) for their first home game of the season. So far in the season, both teams were undefeated in Conference and this game would decide which team would be seeded number one in Big 8.

The Beavers brought high energy to the pool deck, supported by their fans as well as the Women's Water Polo team who just beat DVC moments earlier.

All the players knew how crucial this game would be to their long term success.

The men wasted no time getting on the board and taking a lead that would remain throughout the game. Once the men got up by 3, they did not allow the score to surpass that lead.

Josh Thiel dominated the cage and prevented DVC's shooters from connecting, with blocks in the double digits.

Ian Brady offensively took over and kept morale and spirits strong and positive.

The Beavers' final score was 16-9 and all players contributed in the water.

The men are now seeded sole first in their conference with a 3-0 conference record and 10-9 overall record. They will continue to reach for ARC's first men's conference title since 1964, and a first place seeding in NorCal.

The Beavers' next game will take place this Wednesday at 4:45 pm kicking off with a sophomore recognition ceremony and game starting at 5:00 pm against Santa Rosa.
