American River Beaver Invitational – Beals Point, Folsom Lake
Running without the top two runners on the team, the Beavers continued their winning ways capturing the title at this year's edition of the Beaver Invitational. The ARC men won with 46 points, followed closely by an up and coming College of Sequoias team who scores 55. Running without Will Reyes and Jacob Huston, the Beavers consistent 1-2 punch, Luis Luna (20:30) and Chris Kigar 20:38) stepped up and took 2nd and 3rd overall. Luna eclipsed the old course record of 20:33, but just missed taking the individual title. Rounding out the top 7 for the Beavers were Brennan Holman (13th – 21:41), Jason Morris (15th – 21:45), Sean Jagerson (19th – 21:50), Nathan Rossi (27th – 22:06) and Patrick Jagerson (34th – 22:23). The men's team was coming off a tough two week stretch of training an were understandably a little flat. They now will enjoy a two week break from competition before traveling to the University of Santa Clara for the Bronco Invitational on Saturday, October 19th at Baylands Park.
