West Valley HS, Cottonwood

The American River College men's cross country team captured 12 of the top 14 places at the Jim Middleton Invitational held Friday, October 10 at West Valley HS in Cottonwood, CA. Aidan Schraer won his first race of the season, overtaking Russell Brandt of Butte in the last 20 meters of the 4 mile race. The Beavers scored 19 points – Butte followed in 2nd with 54, Simpson was 3rd with 65, and Siskiyous was 4th with 120. The Beavers also grabbed places 3-10 and 12-14. The men's team ran this race as a workout cruising easily through the first mile with a pack of 15 before turning on the gas and closing the gap on the early leaders.
