Regional and State Rankings
The American River College men's cross country team stayed atop of the NorCal rankings for an impressive 263rd straight week. Their last loss to a NorCal team came on November 21, 2009 at the State Championships when they were defeated by San Francisco City College and College of Sequoias. The Beavers placed 8th in state that season. On September 10, 2010 the Beavers won the Fresno Invitational convincingly, and haven't looked back since – a run of over five straight years atop the North.
This week the Beavers also took back the #1 ranking in the state, moving from #3 to #1 after toppling previously #1 MtSAC and #2 College of the Canyons on consecutive weekends.
