Lou Vasquez Invitational
Golden Gate Park, San Francisco
The American River College men placed 2nd at the Lou Vasquez Invitational Thursday. The meet hosted all of the top Northern California cross country teams, including all of the Top 5 ranked teams. Hartnell College won the meet, with ARC well ahead of 2nd place Diablo Valley and 3rd place Las Positas. The Beavers were once again led by Christian Woolfolk, who placed 6th out of the 113 runner field, covering the 4.06 miles in 20:52. Not far behind in 8thwas Logan Dodge, #2 for ARC in 21:07. Dalton Douglas-Hiley was 3rd man at 21:39 in 22nd place, followed by Vince Chevreuil at 21:56 and 30th place. Rounding out the top 5 was Kevin Gonzalez in 35th place at 22:07.
The Beavers held on to their #2 NorCal ranking for the 4th straight week. Next up for ARC is an unconventional twist in the schedule, the Urban Cow 5k road race. This will give the Beavs a chance to run a flat, fast 5k on the road and work on some speed.
