Softball Falls to Top Ranked Butte

The Beavers lost both of their games Tuesday to Butte who is ranked in the Top 5 in the state this year. The first game was a 1-4 loss with Katie Hiward getting the lone run for the Beavers. Butte went out to an early 4-0 lead after 2 innings. Pitcher Taylor McKay regrouped and was scoreless against the next 5 innnings but the damage had already been done and the Beavers werent able to get any more points up on the board after the 1 run 3rd inning.

 

In the 2nd game of the day, the Beavers came out strong and led 4-1 after the 1st inning. However, Butte came back with a 6 run 2nd inning to take a 7-5 lead after 2 innings. From there Butte woul;d score 3 runs in both te 4th and 5th innings to pull away even further from ARC to take the win.

Both losses move the Beavers to 3-7 over the past 10 games.

 

ARC (9-10) will look for a win against West Valley (14-6) on Thursday 3/10
