Beavers Sweep Doubleheader against Shasta College

Beavers win Game 1 7-1

Mckenzi Smith collected three hits in four at bats, as ARC Beavers defeated Shasta College Knights 7-1 on Tuesday at Shasta College. Smith hit a solo home run to center field in the third inning, doubled in the fifth inning, and singled in the seventh inning.

ARC Beavers won thanks in part to four runs in the first inning. and Kaylah Adams hit a grand slam to center field.

A single by Alexa Garcia extended the ARC Beavers lead to

5-0 in the top of the second inning.

ARC Beavers scored one run in the top of the third on a solo home run to center field by Smith.

Breanna Romero earned the win for ARC Beavers. The right-handed pitcher allowed one hit and one run (zero earned) over seven innings, striking out seven and walking none. Cora Peterson took the loss for Shasta College Knights. They went seven innings, giving up seven runs (six earned) on 13 hits, striking out three and walking one.

ARC Beavers collected 13 hits in the game. Bella Garcia and Smith each collected three hits for ARC Beavers. Adams provided pop in the middle of the lineup, and led ARC

Beavers with four runs batted in. The infielder went 1-for-4 on the day. Garcia and Rylee Meyer each collected multiple hits for ARC Beavers. ARC Beavers turned one double play in the game.

Callie Kingsbury led Shasta College Knights with one hit in three at bats. Shasta College Knights turned one double play in the game.

 

 

Beavers Win Game 2 12-0

ARC Beavers defeated Shasta College Knights 12-0 on Tuesday at Shasta College thanks in part to seven runs in the third inning. Alexa Garcia hit a solo home run to center field, Savannah Hanes singled, scoring one run, Rylee Meyer singled, scoring one run, Madison Demmon singled, scoring one run, and Garcia doubled, scoring three runs.

ARC Beavers opened the scoring in the top of the first thanks to two singles. ARC Beavers first got on the board when Kaylah Adams singled, scoring one run.

Breanna Romero earned the win for ARC Beavers. The righty allowed three hits and zero runs over five innings, striking out six and walking one. Cora Peterson took the loss for Shasta College Knights. They went two innings, allowing eight runs (seven earned) on nine hits, striking out none and walking two.

ARC Beavers accumulated 16 hits in the game. Hanes went

4-for-4 at the plate to lead ARC Beavers in hits. Garcia drove the middle of the lineup, leading ARC Beavers with three runs batted in. The right-handed hitter went 2-for-4 on the day. Meyer, Bella Garcia, Mckenzi Smith, and Adams each collected multiple hits for ARC Beavers. Smith paced ARC Beavers with two walks. Overall, the team had patience at the plate, accumulating four walks for the game.

ARC Beavers didn't commit a single error in the field. Smith had the most chances in the field with seven.
