ARC Women Place 7th in the California Community College State Track and Field Championships
Jenica Dodge was the First Place American finisher in the women's 10K Finals at the CCCAA Track and Field Championships held in San Mateo on May 14, 2015. She finished 2nd overall (behind Southwestern foreigner) with her personal best at 37:11, which is the 6th best mark in the nation and second on the ARC All Time Best Marks.
All American Honors also went to the lady beavers 4X100 relay with their second place finish (47.49). The team was made up with Morgan Simpson, Olivia Brown, Tatiana Bell and Imani Thomas. Their time marks them as 9th best mark in the history of ARC.
Kandace Compton was the 6th lady beaver to earn All American honors, in the 800m, with her 3rd place finish (2:14.80). She then doubled back to score again in the ladies 4X400 relay. Her relay team went 3:56.52 with teammates Morgan Simpson, Keirnan Hawthrone and Imani Thomas.
Other scores for the meet included Shelby Crider's 5th place in the javelin (38.61m), Jocelyn Stillwell's 6th place in the 3k Steeple (11:47). Olivia Brown's 6th in the 100m (12.0) and Siena Morgan's 8th place in the pole vault (3.10m).
With over 40 qualified teams representing over 100 California Community Colleges, American River College ladies finished 7th in the overall team standing.
