ARC Track and Field Season Opener at Monterey Peninsula
The lady beavers opened up their 2016 season on February 20 with a big show. Led by Team Captain Tatiana Bell (from Del Campo HS), who won the 200 m. (25.71) now has the third best mark in the state. Bell also won the 4X100 relay hitting the NorCal qualification standard with teammates Alexis Pope, Morgan Simpson and Lynae Lewis (49.95). Bell finished 3rd in the 100 (12.37) which is currently the second best mark in the state. In addition, Bell also ran a leg on the winning 4X400 (4:09.83) along with teammates Micayla Rennick, Andrea Stark and Morgan Simpson.
Andrea Stark (Center HS), won the ladies 400 hurdles (1:11.15), and was fifth in the 100 hurdles (16.1), in addition to her win the 4X400.
Morgan Simpson (Roseveill HS) won the 400 (1:00.33), in addition to both relays.
Ashley Albor (Casa Roble HS) won the 800 (2:28.65), which is the seventh best mark in the state. She also finished 6th in the 1500 (5:10.39).
Micayla Rennick (Western State Colorado) was second in the 400 (1:01.70), and the 4X400.
Lucie Chevreuil (Vista HS) went second in the 800 (2:29.15), and fourth in the 1500 (5:10:39), which is currently the ninth best time in the state.
Kyleah Johnson (Antelope HS) finished fourth in the 200 (26.95), and eighth in the 100 (13.39).
Lauren Cariaso (Turlok HS) was third in the triple jump, and has the eighth best mark in the state.
Ane Archuleta (Pleasant Grove HS) was fourth in the 400 (1:03.16).
Shayne Hawthrone (El Camino HS) was fifth in the hammer (37.04m), and eighth in the disc (33.64m).
Lynda Shadman (Antelope HS) was fifth in the high jump (1.45m).
Alexis Babbes (Golden Sierra HS) finished 6th in the pole vault (2.55m).

Next up for the lady beavers will be the Nor. Cal. Preview meet hosted at Chabot College this Friday February 26.
