Double champion Jenica Dodge hits top mark in the state

Jenica Dodge (former Whitney HS) led 7 other ladies to personal bests, on the track for their 5K season debut, at the Northern California Pre-View Meet.  It was hosted by Chabot on Feb. 26 where Dodge was the double champion of both the 1500 (4:49) and the 5k (17:40).  She is the first lady beaver to hit the automatic state qualification mark in her 5K, which is the best mark in the state.  Her 1500 meters is also the second best mark in the state. 

Morgan Simpson hit the Nor. Cal. qualification mark with her new personal best in the 400m at 57.68.  It was just .01 off the state automatic qualification mark, while placing her second best in the state.

Tatiana Bell, last week's Big 8 Conference Athlete of the week, also won the 100m in 12.21.  She hit the Nor. Cal. Standard and holds the third best mark in the state.  Teammate, Kyleah Johnson, hit the provisional standard in   13.10.

Following Dodge in the 5k were teammates Ashley Albor 19.31, Lucie Chevreuil 20:28, and Jaclyn Leduc 20:33 all hitting the provisional standard.  Chevreuil also hit the provisional mark in her initiation to the 3k Steeple in 12:54.

More provisional marks were hit in the 4X100, with a season best of 49.42, with Alexis Pope, Kyleah Johnson, Morgan Simpson and Tatiana Bell.

The lady beavers also turned in a new best mark in the 4X400 (4:02.78) with teammates Ane Archuleta, Micayla Rennick, Kyleah Johnson, and Morgan Simpson.

Next up for the Beavers will be their first home meet at the Beaver Relays followed by the Occidental Distance Carnival on 3/11/16.
