Team Captain, Tatiana Bell, led her track squad, to another Big 8 Conference Championship, in her last two years here.  The talented sophomore was a triple champion in the 100m, 200m and the 4X100 relay.  Her freshman teammate, Lauren Cariaso, was a double champion both the long jump, triple jump and also finished 7^th in the javelin.  Both ladies were voted in by the coaches of their conference as the most valuable track and field athletes of the meet.

"It was a great battle.  We were really challenged by Modesto, but the ladies worked well as a team and pulled out the victory", says Coach Powless.

Next up will be their Nor. Cal. Championships where 21 lady beavers qualified forward to compete at Chabot on Fri. May 6^th (trials) and Sat. May 14^th (finals).  Then State Meet will be in San Diego on May 20-21.
