ARC Beaver Ladies Sweep Five Events at the Occidental Track Meet

Rainy and cold conditions couldn't stop the American River College Women from hitting some top marks in the state in route to sweeping five events at the Occidental Track Meet in Los Angeles, Ca. on March10, 2018.

Sophomore Andrea Stark championed three events including her new top mark in the state with her 100 hurdles.  She won that event in 14.26.  She also won both the 4X100 (47.52) and the 4X400 (4:03.40), along with her teammates Meaghan Rogers, Tajanell Strawder and Rae'vyn Lawler.  Both of those relay times are currently the second best marks in the state.

Freshman, Rae'vyn Lawler was also a three events champion winning the 100m (12.01), along with both relays.  She has the third best 100m in California.

Sophomore, Sierra Sheppard was our Big 8 Athlete of the week after the Yuba College, 49er Track Meet (Feb. 24th).  This week she won the ladies discus (41.99m.), and was 2nd overall in the shot (12.25m).

Freshman, Haven Lambrite hit the State Automatic qualification mark in the 3k steeple with her first time ever in this event (12:10.68).

Freshman, Jocelyn Brelsford narrowly missed the Nor. Cal. Standard mark in the 5k with her lifetime best of 19:14.01.

Meaghan Rogers and Emma Sessano both hit provisional marks in their respective events.  Rogers in the long jump (5.12m), and Sessano in the 800m (2:30.26).

Next up for the lady beavers is the Hornet Invitational on Fri.-Sat., March 16-17 at Sacramento State University.
