Bio
Mike Curry has been at all levels of throws coaching from youth to masters. From beginning athletes to Olympic throwers. He has had multiple champions at all levels. Curry is Head Coach and Founder/Owner of the National Champion Golden State Throwers (GST) a USATF hammer throw club that centers on youth. GST has produced multiple Junior Olympic All-Americans and medalists in the hammer throw including 2 time National Champion (2014, 2015) and National meet record holder Emelda Malm-Annan. Coach Curry is also currently on the coaching staff for 2008 Olympic Gold Medalist in the discus Stephanie Brown Trafton.
Athletic achievements include:
· 2011 National Masters Champion 35lb weight throw
· 2008 National Masters Champion 56lb weight throw (Super weight)
· 2006 National Masters Champion weight pentathlon
· 2004,2005 National Masters Champion Hammer Throw
· 2003 National Masters Champion Shot Put
· Former Masters National record holder for the 35lb and 56lb weight throws
