Bio

Coach Tyson Frenn is entering his 3rd season with ARC Women’s Water Polo.  Last season as the head coach Tyson lead the team to a 3rd place Nor-Cal finish.  In his first season with ARC the women’s team won both the Big 8 Conference Title and the NorCal Championships finishing 3rd in the State Championships.

Tyson was previously the head boys and girls water polo coach at Rio Americano High School from 2009-2011.  Tyson lead the Raiders to a total of 5 Cal League Titles and 4 CIF-SJS Section Championship Titles.  He coached numerous all-league and all-section athletes including 2 CIF-SJS players of the year and 7 All-Americans.

Tyson grew up swimming and playing water polo.  He played under the American River College Head Men’s Coach Eric Black as a club athlete and the first 2 years of college.  He continued on to play and earn a Sociology degree from CUNY Queens College (New York, NY).  From there Tyson earned his degree from Concordia University (Irvine, Ca) in Sport Coaching and Athletic Administration.

Tyson brings great excitement and energy to the program.  He is creative and insightful in his coaching.  He brings great enthusiasm to each practice environment where each athlete is challenged to grow and daily.  ARC is excited to have him on staff!!
