Rising freshman star, Haven Lambrite, was recently named Big 8 Athlete of the week for crossing the finish as the first from our conference at the Fresno Invitational.  This week, for the third week in a row, she led her team to victory in the Big 8 Conference Pre-View.

Another season best, Haven finished second overall, in 20:17, over the 5K course, in Oak Grove Regional Park in Stockton, Ca. on Sept. 15th.

Danel Camacho cut over a half a minute off her best mark, by finishing in fifth, at 20:36.  Alyssa Egbert also set a new best mark at 21:29.  Finishing up the top five lady beavers included Aryana Archuleta at 21:31, and Ashley Albor at 21:37.

Other Beaver finishers included, Amy Heckeroth in 22:17, who cut off an impressive :39, along with Emily Dewolfe.

The Team stacks up their second win of the season, after winning the Sierra Invitational earlier this month.

Next up for the ladies will be the Lou Vasquez invitational, in Golden Gate Park, San Francisco on Thursday Sept. 21st.

"We did not expect to win this today, as Sequoias has been very strong this season.  It was a nice surprise, and a confidence boost, for this early in our season." Says Coach Powless.
