Northern California Preview Cross Country

Sierra College will be hosting the 2021 Northern California Championships.  As a preview for our post season championships, Sierra College hosted the early season preview meet on September 10.  In addition to checking out the course, it also provided a great opportunity to see the majority of the Northern California competitors in a fairly "stacked field".

Audrey Garcia led the lady beavers with her 19th place finish.  She managed the 3-mile dirt trails, and challenging hills, with almost equal splits throughout the race.  She finished the event in 21:49.

Marina Zayarchenko hit a lifetime best over the difficult terrain.  In her first event of this season, Zayarchenko ran consistent miles finishing in 24:07.  Her finish was good enough for 42nd overall in the stacked field of 63 female finishers.
