
SACRAMENTO – Xavier Alexander Elder scored twice to help lead City College of San Francisco to a 2-0 win at American River College on Tuesday.
It was the Rams' third straight win and second consecutive shutout. CCSF improved to 5-1 overall with Tuesday's victory.
Elder continues to dominate on the field. His two goals in the contest gave him a state-leading total of nine goals for the season. He gave the Rams a 1-0 lead with his goal in the 36th minute and sealed the victory with a goal in the 78th.
Calvin Dang (78 minutes) and David Gallegos (12 min.) combined for the shutout in goal for the Rams.
CCSF will look to keep the momentum going on Tuesday (Oct. 1) at 6:30 p.m. when the Rams open Coast Conference North Division play at Evergreen Valley College.
