In the past 6 seasons, Sierra has won the Big 8 five times and this year's squad is hungry to return to the top of the standings.  After a 4-1 week, the Wolverines topped conference foe American River in a non-conference five set thriller.  A defense anchored by freshman libero Sofia Guerrero and sophomore defensive specialist, Alexis Adebodun brought the offense to life in the fifth set with great passing and tenacious floor defense.  Freshman Taylor Stolz recorded 7 kills to close out the set (27 total for the match) accompanied by four service aces by Jordyn Deter.  The Wolverines open conference on Friday at Sacramento City College.  Match time is 6:30 pm.
